SNIFF Hey there, Chattanooga
It's been a wet one out there, and yours truly ain't farin' much better. But I’m deep in blanky mode with ginger ale, and I got y'all so we're gonna get through this together. Pardon a bit of some missin’ material from our usual publication as well!
Even from the couch, I can tell there's good stuff happenin' this week. Might be worth draggin' yourself out into the drizzle for. Let's get into it.
Today's Issue Includes:
As always, we’ve added a fresh track to this week’s issue purely for vibes as you read. Click the radio below before ya start reading if you wanna listen!
This week’s Front Porch Partner: Wispr Flow
This week's Front Porch Partner is Wispr Flow. It lets you dictate yer Slack replies, tickets, and messages without ever leavin' whatever you're already workin' in. Just talk and it formats while you keep movin'.
They ain't local, but every clicky-click on their link sends $1.87 straight to the Chattynooga piggy bank. No hoops, no sign-ups. Just a quick tap that keeps this porch swing creakin'.
Alright Wispr Flow, take it away!
Stay in flow state. Dictate everything else.
Context switching kills your focus. Every time you stop coding to type a Slack reply, write a ticket, or draft a PR description, it takes 23 minutes to get back in the zone.
Wispr Flow lets you dictate all of it without leaving your editor. Speak your response, your ticket, your commit message — Flow formats it and you're back to coding. Works system-wide inside Cursor, VS Code, Warp, Slack, Linear, and every app.
4x faster than typing. 89% of messages sent with zero edits. Used by engineering teams at OpenAI, Vercel, and Clay.

Deep Thoughts with Bubby: Tummy Tarnation
Bubby here… I got nothin’ for y’all this week other than to hold your Pepto close and yer toilet closer. I ain’t got journalistic integrity when those dang corndogs shook me to my core over the weekend.
I’ll be back bright-eyed and askin’ questions as per usual next Monday, but your buckaroo needs some well deserved rest. Thanks for yer understanding!

Clementine’s Corner: Nominate a ‘Noogan next week!
I had something ready for this week, but Bubby just HAD to eat that 4th corndog on Sunday and got our whole publishing schedule off.
Anyway, what I will tell you is this: I've been thinking a lot about awards lately. Mostly about how the people actually worth celebrating are usually the ones who'd never ask for it:
The janitor who's been showing up for 20 years.
The friend who just opened a business and is terrified but doing it anyway.
The kid who finally learned their ABCs and deserves a parade.
Chattanooga is full of those people. And I wanna talk about them.
That’s why next Monday we’re launching Nominate a ‘Noogan — my ongoing, figure-it-out-as-I-go effort to shine a light on the folks around town who deserve a little hollerin' about. No trophies or cash prizes (this time 👀).
Just me, my hot air, and a genuine appreciation for the people making this city worth writing about.
So between now and Monday? Start making your list and thinking about who fits their own make-believe category of appreciation.
See you next Monday, Chattanooga!

SNORFFFFF, Oh that’s a BIG snot trail…
Alright, that's all I got. My pillow's callin' and I ain't got the strength to argue with it.
Stay dry out there, Chattanooga. And if you make it out to somethin' this week, do it for the both of us.
— Bubby & Clementine (who is perfectly healthy and would like that noted)
